Which areas do you cover?

What are your prices?

- Please contact me for current prices.

Can I purchase additional images?

- Yes, additional retouched images are £20 each, or five for £80. (These are provided in both colour and black and white.)

Are you available at weekends?

- Yes, and at no extra cost. However these can book up quickly.

Can I change outfits etc?

- Of course! You will be free to change outfits, hairstyles and makeup / shave as much as you like.

Is there an option to use a hair and make-up artist?

- Yes, a hair and make-up artist can be arranged for an additional £100.

How does a typical headshot session go?

- We begin with a relaxed chat to get to know you and what you're looking for. I am happy for you to bring along copies of past headshots if there's something you particularly liked or didn't like that you'd like to show me.

- We will typically try out a variety of setups, outfits, poses and expressions.

How long will the session last?

- Standard sessions tend to last roughly 1-3 hours; portfolio sessions around 3-5 hours.

- This can vary hugely since the optimal shooting pace differs from person to person and people have different requirements.

- The best headshots come about in relaxed circumstances, so rather than impose an arbitrary time limit I will continue until convinced we have images that do you justice.

I would like to be shot in a particular way - can you do this?

- I am flexible to your requirements and will do my very best to ensure your images are just how you want them to be.

- That said, I do encourage variety since this almost always proves beneficial. I will also provide various suggestions during the shoot, which you are naturally free to accept or ignore!

How should I prepare for the session?

- Select a variety of outfits you would like to be photographed in (avoid distracting patterns, logos and stripes!).

- Ensure your hair is freshly washed and that your make-up is done as best you can.

- If you want to want to try out a complicated updo I would suggest arriving with it already done.

- Try to get a good night's sleep the night before - it's surprising what a difference this can sometimes make!

What happens after the shoot?

- You will receive a digital contact sheet of the pictures within 24 hours.

- You can then select your favourites; I am more than happy to help you choose!

- You will then receive your edited pictures in full resolution within one week.

- All the pictures will be stored for at least one year, so you are free to order further images should you wish.

What can I do with the images?

- You're free to print and publish them on the web for personal and self-promotional purposes. Please credit Gerard Chillcott Photography wherever possible!

My band would like individual headshots as well as group shots - can you offer this service?

- Yes! I offer sessions tailored to your needs. Contact me with details of what you're looking for.

- I also cover gigs / concerts and can offer discounts where these are booked together with headshot / portrait sessions.

Do you also offer corporate headshots and portraits?

- Yes! Discounts are available for groups of ten or more. Contact me for details.

What's the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
